"The Woodfolk come out when the veil is thin, to celebrate the mountain and all the life it sustains. The lights are formed deep below, from the energy within that was trapped when the lands crashed together to create such a violent shift in nature. The lights are carried and guided up to the surface by those who can wield it, they are ancient creatures who were there when the mountains were formed. They wander with the lights across the valleys and little hollows, delivering long life to anyone who drinks the energy from the orbs, and lighting the way to their Feast of the Forest. All the spirits, demons, witches, fairies, druids, and other folk gather deep in the woods for summer ales and stews to celebrate the balance of life on the mountain.

Beware, if you should encounter one of these mountain residents carrying their lights or accidentally happen across this feast, then move quickly to get as far away as you possibly can. They may offer you an invitation that’s too sweet to decline, but to accept would mean a thousand years trapped in their fairy realm, while the world you know turns to dust."

This is a three color Risograph print, made by layering fluorescent pink, blue, and yellow Riso ink. Large version!
